Troy High School Celebrates Outstanding 2026 Spring Athletic Season

The 2026 spring athletic season was one of the most successful in recent Troy High School history, highlighted by league championships, regional titles, state-level achievements, academic excellence, and countless memorable performances by our student-athletes and coaches. The Colts captured three OAA Championships this spring, as Baseball claimed the OAA White title, Softball won the OAA Blue Championship, and Boys Track & Field earned the OAA White Championship. These team accomplishments reflect the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by our student-athletes throughout the season. Girls Soccer Makes Historic Run to State Finals The Girls Soccer program enjoyed one of the finest seasons in school history. The Colts captured both the MHSAA District 13 Championship and Regional 4 Championship before advancing all the way to the MHSAA Division 1 State Championship Game, finishing as State Runner-Up. Individually, Olivia Jasniewicz and Emma Rozek earned First Team All-State honors, Sabrina Gaul and Maren Swan were named Second Team All-State, and Kaylee Worrell received Honorable Mention All-State recognition. Jasniewicz was also selected to the prestigious Michigan Dream Team. The coaching staff was recognized as District Coach of the Year, Regional Coach of the Year, and All-State Second Team Coach of the Year. Kyleigh Peacock Wins State Championship Girls Track & Field was highlighted by an extraordinary season from Kyleigh Peacock, who captured the MHSAA State Championship in the Long Jump. Peacock also earned All-State honors and broke the Troy High School record with a leap of 19 feet, 1 inch. The Girls Track & Field team added numerous All-League, All-Region, and All-County selections, showcasing the depth and talent of the program. Boys Golf Advances to State Finals The Boys Golf team continued Troy's tradition of excellence by qualifying for the MHSAA Division 1 State Finals after tying for first place at the Regional Championship at Greystone Golf Club. The Colts finished 15th in the state and posted a season-best round of 297 at the Edgewood Invitational. Rodrigo Dugarte earned First Team All-OAA Red honors and finished as Regional Runner-Up with an even-par 72. The program also excelled academically, earning multiple Academic All-State honors. Girls Tennis Earns Regional Championship The Girls Tennis team captured their seventh in a row Regional Championship, qualified for the MHSAA State Finals, and finished 8th overall in Division 1. Nanika Jastl and Hannah Wanstreet earned All-State honors, while Julia Xiao, Jastl, and Wanstreet were recognized as All-League performers. Championship Seasons for Baseball, Softball, and Boys Track The Baseball team earned the OAA White Championship behind strong performances from Gabe Geisner, Jack Sobotka, Cullen Adams, Henry Otterbacher, and Owen Savage. The Colts also placed three players on the All-District Team. Softball captured the OAA Blue Championship while earning the MHSAA District Good Sportsmanship Award. Laura Guzman was named OAA Coach of the Year, and the Colts placed five players on the All-League Team. Boys Track & Field dominated the OAA White Division while producing numerous All-League, All-Region, and All-County performers. Patrick Johnson qualified individually for the MHSAA State Finals in the 100-meter dash, while the 4x800 relay team also advanced to the state meet. Continued Success Across All Programs Boys Lacrosse earned multiple All-League and All-State honors, while Girls Lacrosse placed two athletes on the All-OAA Red Team. Boys Volleyball continued to build momentum in the program's early years, earning two All-League selections and laying a strong foundation for future success. A Season to Remember The 2026 spring season showcased the strength of Troy High School athletics both on and off the field. From league championships and state qualifiers to academic achievements and sportsmanship awards, our student-athletes represented Troy High School with pride, dedication, and excellence.
