Troy High School proudly hosted the Bill Breen JV Track & Field Invitational on Wednesday, May 13, welcoming nine schools and more than 600 student-athletes for a full day of competition. Despite cold temperatures and gusty winds, participants showed resilience and determination, making the event a memorable conclusion to the junior varsity season. Athletes competed across a wide range of events, demonstrating their growth and dedication throughout the season. The meet provided valuable experience and an opportunity for many underclassmen to showcase their progress against strong competition. Troy High celebrated a standout performance, as both the girls and boys teams finished as overall champions, highlighting the depth and strength of the program. Coaches praised the athletes for their effort and positive attitudes in challenging weather conditions. The invitational also serves as a tribute to Bill Breen, a staunch supporter of the Troy High track & field program. Proceeds from the meet help fund four $500 scholarships awarded annually to deserving track and cross country athletes. Troy High extends its appreciation to all teams, coaches, officials, and volunteers who contributed to making the event a success while honoring Mr. Breen’s lasting legacy.
