The Troy Varsity Girls Basketball team picked up two thrilling wins this week, continuing their strong push in OAA Blue play. On Monday, the Colts secured a hard-fought 56–51 victory over Dakota. Sophomore Maci Zeiter led the offensive attack, pouring in a career-high and team-high 27 points. Troy battled from start to finish and never wavered, showing toughness and composure throughout the game. Sophomore Olivia Georges added 9 points, while Senior Carly Higginbotham had a huge presence on the glass, controlling the boards on both ends of the floor. Senior Olivia Jasniewicz delivered an all-around strong performance, impacting the game in multiple ways for the Colts. The Colts were back in action Tuesday night with a quick turnaround, taking on league opponent Rochester Adams. The game got off to a slow start, with Troy trailing at halftime. However, the Colts stormed back in the third quarter, taking the lead at 27–24. The fourth quarter turned into a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final minute, where Senior Olivia Spangler stepped up and calmly knocked down four clutch free throws to secure the win. Troy had balanced scoring, led by Carly Higginbotham and Olivia Spangler with 10 points each, while Maci Zeiter chipped in 9. The bench played a critical role down the stretch, providing energy and key contributions on both ends of the floor. With the two wins, the Colts improve to 7–2 in league play and 2–0 in the OAA Blue Division. Troy travels to Harper Woods on Friday for another important league matchup. Go Colts!!!!
